More practice shots

Spring is here! The Bradford Pear trees in our yard are blooming. The weather is warm. The days are longer. It is simply the perfect time of year. After the winter we just had, I am appreciating spring a bit more this year and taking time to actually enjoy it. We have lots going on in our lives right now, but I am taking time to "smell the roses", so to speak. The pups are equally as happy that Spring has Sprung. They have become quiet used to me following them around with my camera. :)
Pippi enjoys the feel of cool grass on a warm, sunny day.
Cueball gets a head start on working on his tan.
Maggie....just looking beautiful.
Sweet Pippi.
The only thing they are missing is a blanket and a picnic basket.
Time for my nap!
Thanks to all those who left comments on my last post with suggestions for photo software. ;-)
Have a greyt week and get out and enjoy the beautiful weather, summer will be here before you know it.

Cotton Candy Clouds, first fire on the deck , chickens and randomness

A nice relaxing weekend is what we had in store for us this weekend. Saturday was a beautiful day here in Virginia and we just could not help but to take advantage of it. We enjoyed the afternoon and evening on the deck. As the sun started to go down, we had sky views of blue and pink clouds that reminded me of cotton candy.

We decided it was about time we used our chiminea we bought 2 1/2 years ago. :) We watched the sunset while enjoying a nice fire and a steak and veggie dinner with some cold beers. A wonderful way to spend our Saturday evening.Saturday morning, like most mornings, we were greeted by our next door neighbor's chickens. They don't bother us except for when the mess up the mulch in the flower beds. Other than that, we are glad they are around. They reduce the tick, flea and bug population. :)

I have been spending a fair amount of time trying to learn more of the functions of my camera. Below are some random recent practice shots of the pups showing off their cuteness.

Sleepy ETS.
Booyah looking cat like.
Now I just need to get some photo software, so I can crop and adjust the pictures. I would love to hear some suggestions of what you use. ;-)
